Peace From East

A message of peace from the people of the East to the entire world.

Two words. Many faces. One message.

The anthem

In 2004, a peace anthem was recorded: Peace From East. Two words. One singer. No verses, no chorus — just two words that anyone, anywhere, in any language, can join.

It has never been re-recorded. It never will be.

The format

The same year, a music video was made: peace signs raised across Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, and Thailand. Faces. Hands. Signs. A format that has never needed changing. Every year, the anthem plays over new videos of people raising a peace sign.

In 2027, India joins. Four nations, one anthem.

The proof

The anthem travelled further than anyone planned. It was featured in the UK Department for Education and Skills anti-bullying film Making the Difference, launched at the National Film Theatre, London, and used in UK schools. It was recognized at the World Peace Film and Music Festival before delegates from sixty countries. It was played at Oxford, broadcast in Romania, and heard in more than forty countries.

The renewal

From 2027, Peace From East becomes an annual project of Music for Global Peace. Every year, the same anthem and the same format are renewed with new peace signs from the East — released on World Peace Day, September 21.

No names, no credits, no recognition. Just faces, signs, and the anthem. Because it is Peace From East — a message of peace from the people of the East to the entire world. The video belongs to everyone because it belongs to no one.

The realness is the point

When people make a peace sign, they say in their heart: I want peace. And it shows in their expression. That truth only appears when no one is being named or singled out. Anonymity protects the realness. The video is not a showcase. It is a gathering of ordinary people, each saying the same thing in their heart.
