From your work to the video.
All three projects follow the same path, from January to World Peace Day.

The artworks become the picture
Each one appears on screen with peaceful music. There is no narration.
Every artist is credited
Each artist appears by name and country.

Peace From East
You send your peace sign
A short video of yourself raising a peace sign, from Pakistan, India, Thailand, or the UAE.
We collect and curate
Every submission is gathered and reviewed.
The anthem plays over the faces
The original 2004 recording — never re-recorded — plays over the new peace signs.
The video is made
Same format as 2004: peace signs, faces, hands. No names, no credits, no recognition. Just faces, signs, and the anthem.
Released on 21 September
World Peace Day. The video stays on YouTube and on this website, joining the annual archive.
All three arrive together.
Every year, people from around the world take part, and on 21 September each project is released as its own music video: prayers narrated over music, artworks scanned and shown over music, and people’s peace-sign videos over the anthem. Prayer and mail art artists are credited by name and country; Peace From East is anonymous by design. All three are released on 21 September and stay on YouTube and on this website.

Year by year What comes next
“Every 21 September. For as long as we can.”
Hear when things open.
We’ll write only when something opens: on 1 January when all three calls open, and on 21 September when all three videos are released.
Thank you. You’ll hear from us when the calls open.
